Fairly deep color. Subtle though sexy nose is floral with notes of sweet plum and pepper. Not as rich or dense as most others, the refined, middleweight 2005 Cuvee Reservee really impresses us with the integration of tannins with the wonderful fruit. The 2005 is remarkably well-balanced with noticeable freshness. This wine offers terrific length, that causes most participants to raise their ratings. We’d love to try it with roast duck and cherries.
